With more than 10 years in the animal training industry, Katie is a recent recipient of the title CPDT-KA awarded by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Katie received this credential during her work as the Head Trainer at the Edmonton Humane Society. In this role she learned the most current and scientifically proven techniques to modify dog behaviour. Previously, Katie worked in training exotic animal species using the same force-free methodology.
Katie has also received the title of DBTMc from the Edmonton Humane Society and became the instructor for this certification program. With a strong empathy for her clients, Katie is passionate about helping clients and their dogs find the training techniques that work for their lives.
Michelle graduated from the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Trainers and Behaviour. This is a huge honour for Paws Pet Pad and for her as it has granted her the opportunity to become a certified force-free, positive reinforcement Dog Trainer. Michelle has been working at Paws Pet Pad for over a year now, She helps run the play programs every day and teach the staff in the daycare what to look for and how to assess what is happening on a daily basis when it comes to dog body language and behaviour. She has spent time working under certified trainers, learning techniques and tricks to make both you and your fur baby's learning experience that much better! Michelle cannot wait to start helping you and your fur babies !
