ENGAGE: Group-based Engagement
For our socially-interactive and interested guests, we have our ENGAGE dog daycare program!
Guests are grouped into small play groups based on size, play style, confidence and temperament to make sure they have the best day possible.
We love and accept all breeds.
As with all our programs, our trainers' assessment determines which program a dog participates in, and programs can vary as a dog ages or life events occur.
ABOUT OUR ENGAGE PROGRAM
Our ENGAGE program is our social-based daycare program that goes beyond traditional social daycare models.
We know that even with the most "social" of social dogs, that there is no such things a one-size-fits-all solution, and our ENGAGE social-based program personalizes each day.
The agenda is set by your dog and what they communicate, how they're engaging with others, and what behaviours they're exhibiting.
Our ENGAGE program incorporates our Breed Aware Care that looks to the specific behaviours and personalities each dog exhibits and then matches them with dogs or activities that fulfill their needs and which give them the best day possible.
Some days will be all group activity. Others may have activity time in a private park to help satisfy instinctual behaviours or give them a break from the busyness of others and stimulation of group play.

PROGRAM DETAILS
If our trainers determine your dog is best suited for the ENGAGE program after their first-day assessment, you would still book any daycare days just as a regular day or half-day of daycare.

HOW IS A DOG ENROLLED?
The ENGAGE program is not a program you enroll your dog in, but is a program we will put your pup in based on their needs after our comprehensive first-day assessment process.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE OR FREQUENCY?
There is no set schedule or frequency for your dog to attend; come as often as you like.
We have guests who come every day, some on set days, or others only intermittently when needing care.
WILL YOUR DOG ALWAYS BE WITH OTHERS?
WHAT IS THE PRICE
Possibly not! Which group and which dogs your dog will be with will depend on the day, and on some days your dog may only be with one other or may enjoy activities in our private park.
There are any number of reasons why a dog may not be with others on a certain day:
They may be not as socially receptive or interested as other days
They may be getting hyperaroused easily that day, which can lead to more intense play behaviours that aren’t welcomed by others
They may have come multiple days in a row and are letting us know they’re tired
There may just not be a great group fit based on the dogs there that da
They may be giving any number of signals that group interaction just isn’t for them that day. Dogs are like people…they feel differently on different days
When their regular ENGAGE group isn’t ideally suited to them, we switch gears and they have activity time in our private park.
Cost is regular daily cost of daycare. Packages days apply.
Our ENGAGE program is one of our wellbeing programs for dog daycare and boarding. Our programs are designed to respect the uniqueness of your dog, to meet their needs, and to create an environment in which they can thrive.
