Sign up for a First Day Assessment

Whether you're beginning with Daycare or Boarding, it all starts with a First Day Assessment.

Not able to come in advance of your boarding start date?

If you are unable to bring your dog in advance, please give us a shout at 780-900-8639 ext. 2. We have many clients from afar who can't come in advance or who need an immediate reservation, and we're happy to work with you whenever possible.

1. SET UP AN ACCOUNT

Sign up for an account online. You'll fill in some of your information and your dog's information.

Important: Opt in to communications if you want to receive health and other notices pertaining to your dog's reservations.

2. VACCINATIONS

Make sure your dog's required vaccinations are up to date. Email a copy to info@pawspetpad.ca or plan to bring a copy in on your check-in day.

3. REQUEST YOUR DOG'S FIRST-DAY ASSESSMENT

  • In your online account, go to Request Services. Select Assessment - First Day of Daycare. You do not stay with your dog for their assessment.

  • Check-in time is between 5:30 - 8:45 am. Check-out time is between 4 - 8:45 pm.

  • Once you submit your request, we'll send you a confirmation email with check-in details. Please check your spam or junk folders if you don't receive the confirmation within a few hours.

4. ARRIVAL FOR FIRST DAY

Please note our lobby hours and please arrive near to your requested check-in time. You don't have to arrive for the exact time of your reservation, but please be close to.

  • Please arrive with your dog on collar and leash.

  • No greetings between dogs

  • Please do not let your dog approach anybody

5. CHECK-OUT ON FIRST DAY

  • When you arrive, please let us know who you are checking out. Please bring and present ID. You will be asked at each check-out for ID.

  • ​Our front attendant will review their report card, important check-out details, and will have a package of information for you.

  • If you have detailed questions about your dog's first day beyond the first-day check-out review, please contact our trainer at askthetrainer@pawspetpad.ca

6. BOOK FUTURE RESERVATIONS

With your assessment day complete, you can book any future reservation online, either daycare or boarding.
