Paws Pet Pad is a completely unique dog boarding, daycare and training facility.
We follow the groundbreaking wellbeing-based care model, going beyond social care and safe spaces and meeting a dog's physical, mental and emotional needs while considering the beauty of their breed, their genetic mix, their instinctual behaviours, their background and their personality.
We understand the impacts to dogs of being away from their home and family and focus on our relationship with your dog so we are part of their trusted safe circle.
We have certified professionals developing and implementing our programs and are constantly investing in education to ensure that what we offer you and your dog is the absolute best based in the most current research available.

SOCIAL AND PRIVATE PROGRAMS
We have a spot for everyone.
We don’t operate on a pass/fail system but believe that great care can and should be available to everyone, regardless of how confident they are around others or whether they enjoy being with others.
We know dogs aren't all designed to enjoy being around others, and that it isn't a mark of an issue, or a problem, or a failure. We recognize the uniqueness of each dog and then match the day to THEM so their needs are met and your foundation with them is strengthened.
FORCE FREE, TRUST BASED, WELLBEING-BASED
We know dogs thrive within trust-based relationships--whether that's with people, other pets, or dogs. And we know trust must be built and always nurtured.
And this is a key to what makes us different.
We are the only force-free-certified facility in Leduc and the first wellness and wellbeing-based dog care and training facility in Alberta. Everything we do is based in trust and relationship-building.
We build a relationship with your dog and respond to their cues and communication. We use engagement, redirection and interaction to guide and manage our play groups.
QUALIFIED, CERTIFIED TRAINERS AND STAFF
We know it takes more than passion; it takes professionalism achieved through certification and ongoing education.
We are the only dog care centre in western Canada with certified trainers and a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider on staff designing and overseeing our programs.
PERSONALIZED PROGRAMS
There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and even from day to day a guest’s personal play program may vary depending on what they’re saying.
We respond to what your dog tells us they’re comfortable with and then personalize their day and stay with us.
Just like people, dogs feel differently on different days and it’s our job to listen to them and create the best day for them—physically, mentally and emotionally.
FIVE SEPARATE PLAY AREAS
Personal programs require many spaces to match dogs with the program or friends to meet their needs.
We have five indoor/outdoor parks and a special indoor areas for our puppy program and our teeny tinies and seniors.
We group dogs by size, play style, confidence and by personal play program and have pools for summer and amazing playgrounds year round!
With a total of 4,800 sq ft inside and 12,000 sq ft of outdoor space, we are designed to have a space for each dog.
