COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will focus on all the basics that will help you help your dog become a model citizen. You want your dog to have mastered the basics, and this class will give you the language both you and your dog can understand.

In this class you and your dog will learn or refresh the commands of sit, down, stay, come/recall, take it and drop it. A large part of the focus during this class will be loose leash walking.

This class will prepare your dog for success out in the real world. We'll go through all the basics with different levels of distractions so they're ready to go from class to practice in the world with you.

We will also practice turns and movement with loose leash walking to make your relationship with your dog better and easier, and to make walking safe and enjoyable for the whole family.

By the end of this course, you and your dog will be able to:

Demonstrate various behaviours including:

• Name recognition

• Sit

• Hand touch

• Massage

• Collar grabs

• Down

• “It’s Your Choice”

• Drop it/take it

• Sit & down stay

• Recall
